TOP FIVE HOTEL FOODS
1. Room service ice cream sundaes
Because there are always lots of options (nuts etc) and
the ice cream has melted to optimum consistency by the
time it arrives.
2. Basket of Rolls with butter packets
Hotel rolls are always stale yet never disappointing.
I would like to jump into a ball pit of these. Bonus
if the butter tastes like margarine.
3. Milk
All kids hate whole milk, which is invariably what
they serve in restaurants. But at my age you need
the nourishment. I like it when the glass has a little
paper cover.
4. Club Sandwich
Pretend that you are a pasty-skinned granny in slacks
who eats only three things: club sandwiches, tinned
kippers, and digestive biscuits. The occasional Oreo.
5. Dad's Breakfast Special
Assembled from the buffet: three pastries knifed into
bite-size pieces, glass of grapefruit juice cut with OJ,
small pile of cucumbers, smoked herring.
