Noah was a righteous man and he walked with God.

God said to Noah, "I am going to put an end to
all people. I am surely going to destroy both
them and the earth. So make yourself an ark."

"You are to bring two of all living
creatures, to keep them alive with you."

Noah did all that the Lord commanded him.

Pairs of clean and unclean animals entered the ark.
And rain fell on the earth forty days and forty nights.

Then God said to Noah, "Come out of the ark.
Bring out every kind of living creature that is
with you-- so they can multiply on the earth and
be fruitful and increase in number upon it."

Then Noah built an altar and, taking some
of the animals, sacrificed offerings on it.

The Lord smelled the pleasing aroma and said
in his heart, "Never again will I curse the
ground because of man. And never again will I
destroy all living creatures, as I have done."

"As long as the earth endures, day and night will never cease."
