The nicknamery (great word) comes from your
Grandfather Lafe. He was masterful. One that
I love was the name for the guy who ran our
corner store. He looked like a tall, skinny, poor
white carnie... Lafe always referred to him as
"Knuckles." To this day it delights me. Knuckles?!
Where did he get that? It was PERFECT!

Laf was The Assassin. Geoff, The Rep, Robin
The Existential. I believe I was just Baby Bear.

wish you were here for some rambunctious
backgammon. I will pursue finding you a set to
feel proud of in my spare time....
