Dear Friends,

This is not an easy letter to write. Nonetheless, please
take a moment to read my words. Perhaps you will be able
to shine a light at the end of what has been a very dark
tunnel.

(Deep breath.)

As you all know by now, Herge and I are getting a divorce.
This has been a great emotional and psychic blow. It has
also, incidentally, been a considerable financial blow.

To supplement the exorbitant costs of legal advice, I have
chosen to auction some of my most cherished pieces of
jewelry and clothing. Many of these are gifts from Herge,
imbued with great sentimental value.

I have enclosed several photographs of the olive-and-
pimento choker that is the centerpiece of the collection.

I am also offering a profiterole brooch, a platinum
engagement band with 24-karat brussel sprout, and a
prosciutto bikini (size 00).

I trust you will cherish these pieces as I have. Please
get in touch with initial offerings.
